Wills & Codicils
Many adults put off making a Will, but if you die without one, your assets might be distributed according to the law in a way you may not have wished. You might also have missed out on important tax planning opportunities.
If you are not married or in a civil partnership, your partner may not automatically inherit your estate, and even if you are married, your spouse will not necessarily get everything. By making a Will, you can ensure that your dependants are provided for after your death in the most tax efficient manner, as well as ensuring that your minor children are protected and looked after by guardians whom you have appointed.
If you are:
- Divorced or separated,
- Marrying again and have children from a previous relationship,
- Have children,
- Own your own property,
- Need to provide for a disabled person or vulnerable adult.,
- Own your own business,
- Own property abroad,
then you need a Will.
Our experienced team can advise and prepare a Will or Codicil which deals with your individual circumstances.
For safekeeping, we will also store your Will or Codicil for you free of charge.
